poweredrollers.com, inc. high-performance, narrow- web idler rollers with a spin

| Poweredrollers.com, inc. was launched in 2008 as a sister company to machinery manufacturer Larson/Burton, Inc. to be a component supplier for the converting industry. The proven cantilevered roller design that has been unchanged for 10 years is now being offered in a powered version. As long as companies have been converting web-based product, the idler rollers have been driven by the web -- now it is finally the other way around. The patented PowerPucku driver is a simple 24VDC device that will spin an idler roller to a speed of up to 2000fpm by a non-contact magnetic coupling while still allowing the idler to follow speed changes of a process line. Because of the nature of the coupling, it is primarily a torque-assist device as opposed to a speed controller. In many cases where friction and inertia of a number of idlers would require either higher web tensions or an addition of servo-driven nip rollers and dancers, a few low-cost powered rollers can be a very attractive alternative. It can be part of a new powered roller package as well as retrofitted on most idlers in the field.
